that and (sometimes is) the computer voice "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again." seem to work rather nicely.

I can see this totally in the case of say....calling your exhusbands private cell phone to talk to your kids and having his well meaning but misguided girlfriend ambush your call and then bitch at you for several minutes and not actually let you talk to your kids.
not that I know anything about that, but I can totally see that happening. -
